This is an excellent linen duvet cover and pair of shams. I have a thing for bed linens, and have a lot of lovely sheets, blankets and quilts in the natural fabrics I prefer; cotton, linen and wool. I have a linen duvet cover in a different style from Howdy Textiles for one of the beds in our house, and the quality is top-notch, so I didn't hesitate to order this set. I would like to eventually have one for each bed. I purchased this one in the queen size and chose the plaid khaki design and it looks even better than the first one, if that is possible. OK, they are both great and I probably wouldn't be able to choose between the two (the other one is striped). All of my other linen pieces are in solid colors and don't look as casual, IMO. The plaid pattern is in the center of the duvet and is flanked by a solid beige. The shams have the solid panel on one side (making up about 1/3 of the area). The set looks so cozy and inviting and the high-quality fabric gives it that wonderful texture and classic rumpled look. It drapes beautifully. My queen-sized down comforter fits perfectly and there are ties to hold it in place. It is way too hot (still high summer here) to use the down comforter yet, but I like using this empty -- it feels like a thick sheet or very light blanket and is just right for when the AC is on. The fabric is fairly light-weight but feels substantial and of very good quality. Linen from flax grown in Europe is among the best in the world. It gets softer and softer over time. The duvet cover (and shams) are very well made with even seams that are neatly finished. I like the rustic look of the button closure. The buttons are securely attached and the buttonholes are well done. The set launders well (I washed it in cold water, gentle cycle and put it on the clothesline to dry -- I drape the duvet cover over several lines) and it came out perfectly & feeling so soft. The current price of $115.42 might seem expensive at first but I find linen to be well worth the investment. I was very hesitant when buying my first linen item, but it far surpassed my expectations, and now it is one of my favorite fabrics. It is very strong and durable and it wears well. I am very happy with the quality of the fabric and workmanship of bedding from this brand and I would definitely buy this set again. It arrived in a charming zippered linen storage bag and included a couple of extra buttons.
